It's Just Hair... Right?

Alright well I did it. I got my hair cut. My hair has been long for so long and before my wedding in June I told myself I would cut it after the wedding and donate it to Locks of Love. It has to be 10 inches to donate hair to the organization. After the wedding I couldn't decide if I wanted to cut my long hair or not.  I had not had short hair in so long, I really didn't think it would look good on me. I finally got the courage to do after making myself think it is for a good cause and it will grow back out. I went to my hair girl and a hour later I was minus 12 inches of hair!! Holy Moly! OKay, honestly at first I was soooo upset. I thought it was way too short but its growing on me. I think I will be completely happy with it when it grows about 2 inches longer. This just is a little short for me but like I said I have to tell myself it is JUST HAIR and WILL GROW! Well here it is.....

Before

After

So I pretty much am growing it back out but not 12 inches only about 2 or 3. I think I will like shoulder length hair a ton more. But until then "goodbye lucious long locks, hello short hair"
Its just Hair... right?>!

Birthday Fun!!

Well the weekend is over and back to reality! But what a fun weekend it was....
Friday August 20th was my birthday. I turned 21...okay okay add 4 years to that. I am actually 25 now. I think from now on though I am just going to celebrate my 25th birthday every year. So in 4 years I'll still be turning just 25. hahaha! I wish that was how it worked. Pretty sure my older sis (now 27) has said she is 25 for the last couple years. Cats out of the bag now Linz...sorry! lol! Anyway, it was a great birthday. My family and BU (thats Brandon my husband if you didn't know) and I headed to OKC friday afternoon. We had to get ready for the big 50's style sock hop party we were throwing my Gammy on Saturday. We stayed at the Renaissance in Bricktown and went to eat at a yummy Mexican restuarant right there in Bricktown. We had such a great time! We laughed, goofed around, talked, and I just enjoyed every minute. I really can't explain how much fun my family is. When we all get together its a party. Us girls will laugh until we cry and the guys usually come up with some plan to do something clever (this time it was that they are all going to grow mustaches in honor of OU football.... Quentin, my sisters boyfriend, got his started early. He had it the next day..haha) I also got some pretty cool things for my birthday.... I got a treadmill, a really nice road bike from Brandon, house decorations for fall and a GIFT CARD to hobby lobby to get a custom frame for a wedding picture from my Mom, Dad and Piper, money from my Gammy, and my favorite kind of candles from my sister Lindsey. I also received several cards from people I love. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. By the Grace of God I am this blessed and have this amazing Life. Oh and a week ago my Mom cooked Sunday dinner for an early birthday dinner for me and she did HAWAIIAN STYLE. It was delicious. Pretty sure I gained about 10 lbs. She even made their authentic Hula Pie! To die for! We took the new bike for a test ride last night all around the golf course, it was awesome. So easy to ride. Brandon was huffin and puffin and I was just breezin on by on my Schwinn road bike.
Heres the new ride.

I would post pictures of all my new goodies but I didn't get any pictures of them and I just so happen found the bike online. But I am extremely excited about everything!
Heres my family downtown OKC friday night....

Well now on to the BIG party held on Satuday. My Gammy (my Moms mother) turned 70 recently and we wanted to do it up big this year. So for the last couple months we have been planning a 50's themed birthday party. It was finally here Saturday the 21st an went over awesome. We sent out invites to all her friends and rented a nice clubhouse. My older sister and her boyfriend did all the food since she is the cook and my Mom and I did all the decor and party planner type stuff. Brandon also made her an amazing video that made everyone tear up. It was definitely a blast from the past, my family looked like a family straight out of the 50's. We had typical diner food... hamburger sliders, corn dogs, little hash brown bowls with a dill dip inside, mini patty melts, fruits and veggies, and much more. We also had cupcakes galore and a root beer or coke float station. Oh and a popcorn machine! Here are several pictures from the party and all the details...

Baby Fever...

Congratulations to Kristan & Jackey Yocham... and everyone else in their family! Brandon and I are great friends with Kristan and Jackey. They have an almost 2 year old daughter name Halley and yesterday they introduced Emerson Paige into the world. She is the sweetest little baby I have ever seen. Weighing in at 6 lbs and 5.8 oz. she is tiny. She is 18.5 inches and perfect in every way. Now I know, Brandon and I just got married but holy moly I have B-A-B-Y fever! I'm pretty sure I can fight off the fever for just a little longer though. hehe! Emerson was born August 17th around 12:50pm. We went to visit the family and the newest little member yesterday after work. I held Emerson for an hour and she didn't make a peep. She would once in a while stretch her little arms and feet. So sweet! Mama Kristan looked amazing and both Jackey and her were beaming with happiness. Here are a few pictures of baby Emerson... Enjoy

T..G..I..F

Thank Goodness its Friday ..right?! I just love weekends. Well Brandon and I went to a sweet 16 Birthday party tonight and boy do they know how to dance and party. We are just family friends but most everyone else there was their family. I do have to say... we were the only white people there not that this means anything but why I bring that up is because they were awesome dancers! W just sat and watched them for an hour. I'm pretty sure this white girl can't move like that, I'm a little jealous. Aww how I remember being 16, good times and great memories.
Here we are at the Sweet 16 bash ( :

Last "First Day" of Elementary School

I wanted to post a little something today about my little sisters first day of 5th grade. My mini me Piper is staring 5th grade today. I know.... tears are building up as I am typing. She is growing up way to fast. She is the coolest kid I know... she makes straight A's and is in all kinds of sports. I want to be just like her when I grow up ( :
Today is her last first day at elementary school. Next year is the big leagues...6th grade!
So heres a little note to P-Diddy.... You will do great in 5th grade bub, keep focused but have fun. Remember to embrace everyday and live it to the fullest. Do you school work, make friends, laugh a lot, play hard, read as much a you can, help your teachers, love 5th grade, eat a good breakfast and lunch, and remember that your family is your biggest fan!!

A little strole down "Piper" lane..... what a pretty lane it is...

First Day of school as a 2nd grader...

This last pic is of little Pip and her dog Izzy when she was in 4th grade

Love you Piper Sydney!

Just the beginning...

Well well I finally caved and joined the world of bloggers. I have never really been a blogger but I have a couple friends who have profiles on this and I find them very entertaining. I'm thinking this will be a good thing for me since I talk so much and now I can just talk to everyone through my blog. I can also unleash my inner creativity that is just dying to get out.... okay okay I'm really not that creative but I should get an A+ for effort.  You will have to bare with me as I explore this blogspot and figure out how to make the most out of it.
I will start off with this....  On June 12th, 2010 I married my husband (whew...its so weird to say husband) Brandon. 61 days we have been married and they have flown by. I love it though! Its awesome being married especially to Brandon.

This was our first dance.... awww how sweet!

I would like to tell everyone a little bit about our wonderful wedding day. First of all it was more than I ever ever dreamed my wedding would be. And I am completely honest when saying that. I never imagined I would have such a fun, amazing, beautiful wedding. Our ceremony was at our Church in Broken Arrow and the reception was at The Golf Club of Oklahoma. We had all day to get ready in the cottages at the golf club which is super nice. The women in my family and all my ladies just had fun all day! When it was time to head to the church we were all ready. The ceremony started and then "I do"! Woohoo finally! After that was the reception. We had a full dinner, cake, dancing, drinks, a candy buffett, a fun photobooth, and so much more. We danced the night away with family and friends. I have to give so much credit to my family though. I might have the funnest family around ...hehe! My Mom and sisters and aunt are auuhhh-mazing!!! My Gammy made my dress which was my own dream wedding gown. I could blog all day about my wedding but I know I should probably wrap it up. I don't think Brandon and I have ever had so much fun. My family definitly knows how to throw a party. So I leave you with a few pictures from that day...
and a little piece of advice I was given after our wedding...
"May that day be filled with love and be so wonderful but not the best day of your entire life, may you have many more wonderful days just like that in your lifetime".
