Time Flies..

Whoa! its been a while since I have been on this ole blog. I really would like to make a goal that I blog more and comment and read others blogs more. I love the ones I do get to see but I never really venture out there and find more blogs. Hang in there, I'm still figuring out all this blog stuff! And finding time has got to be hardest part...  but just wait... one day this girl will be bloggin up a storm {hopefully}.

Hmmm.. my last blog was early this month. Well there has been so much happen since then but I will spare you all and not write about each day, each hour, each minute...  Just a recap of whats up in our world lately...

Well I just got back from out of town for a week, nope not vacation, but work! I worked for the company that puts on home shows all over the nation, Marketplace Events. I actually interned with them in college but the office that took over the shows OKC shows is now in Minnesota. And since I live in Oklahoma I didn't think that would work well, so when they come here to do shows they still have me work with them for the week. The show we just got done doing is HUGE! It's five buildings and I manage 2 of them. Its fun work, I really do enjoy it but its exhausting. I was pooped by the time I got home on Monday.
Before I left for the show, we had some unfortunate events in the family happen. Brandon has a great Uncle who passed away due to severe injuries from a fire in his pasture. He was in the hospital for a while holding on but just couldn't make it. It was very sad and I felt so bad for his family. But the funeral was beautiful and I think he would have approved ( :
And then... one day Brandons dad went into the doctors office to do a stress test, really not thinking anything of it. They didn't even finish it before they told him he failed miserably, poor guy! So they admitted him in the hospital and he ended up being there for several days. Apparently they found some blockage in one of the 3 main arteries. He had an operation and put in a stent. They got him all fixed up! He was sent home and feels good now! I know Brandon was very scared for a few days but I just kept telling him that everything that happened was really good. They caught it before it got really bad (( :
So on a happy note, MY MOMS BIRTHDAY WAS ON THE 15TH OF THIS MONTH!
She wanted to go out to eat and see the Bodies Exhibit. Has anyone else seen that? Wow, is that amazing or what? To walk through and see every tiny part of a humans body (a human who was alive at one time) is amazing. To see how every teeny tiny part of you fits perfectly and ables us to do everything we do everyday is a miracle. There was a section that showed a baby at every week before they were born. Can you believe that their vitals organs are formed (just in teeny tiny size) by week 10. It was just amazing to see, I encourage everyone to go. It is a little pricey, about $17.00 per person but very neat to see.

Oh and Brandons favorite part of the month I think was getting our new MAC! We have been thinking about buying a new computer for a while and just couldn't decide if we wanted a desktop or laptop. So we thought about it for a while (and saved the money for it) and finally this month purchased a mac desktop. We love it! I love editing photos and they have a great program on there just for that. We better like it because after that little big purchase there will be no more for a while ( ;

We also finally booked our Alaska trip for July! We are counting down the days... hiking, seeing the glaciers, fishing for salmon, 22 hours of daylight, and of course our hot tub at the cabin ( :  We really want to go to Florida this Spring to see my family there and to see the ocean {I am needing the ocean in my life right now, I love it} but we aren't sure if we can pull a trip together that quickly.
Uhhh lets see, anything else exciting these past couple weeks. Not really. Well I promise I will try to make my next blog post more exciting and not so blah.
 Have a Great Weekend!

Love the weekends...

Oh goodbye weekend!! Everyone ready for the week again?.. I know I'm not.
We had a nice relaxing weekend.
Friday: We stayed at home all evening. Brandon made a roast with potatoes and carrots. It was delicious. We watched a movie and just hung out around the house. It was a nice evening after all the busy holiday weekends.
Saturday: morning we got up and ran some errands. We took our dog, Cash,to the Sloppy Dog Wash. He smells so much better!! We met my Mom and sister there so they could give their dog, Izzy, a bath also. Later we went to Target and then cherry berry. {which is an awesome self serve frozen yogurt place, Brandon and I go there more then we should but we love it} We finally came home and put on a fire, made a pizza, hung some curtains, and watch a movie. Brandon says my attention span is the size of a squirrel because me watching a movie is more like me walking around house finding something to do while the movie is going. I tried to make a unique mantel decor piece but it didn't turn out that good. For Christmas Brandon and I got a gas insert for our fireplace. I don't like a real wood burning fire in my house, it kinda gives me a headache. So this was perfect for us! It was finally finished getting installed this week and we have thoroughly enjoyed it this weekend ( :  Aside from it warming the house so much, its so pretty! We also added curtains to our living room saturday evening. We have needed some window treatments there for a while but Brandon really didn't want anything in the living room. He liked the simple all window look. So I finally convinced him to just get some very simple curtains, nothing fancy. Annndd he likes them!

Here's our fire!!

Sunday: We woke up and went to Church and afterwards headed out to a local winery for lunch. It was such a nice Sunday afternoon with my Brandon. And guess what....  it started snowing while we were there. The first snow of the season and we were sitting at a beautiful winery looking out over the hills. We tasted several wines which was delicious and had a sandwich and soup lunch with a brownie for dessert. After lunch we went and saw Brandons Nanny, his great grandmother. She is almost 90 years old and isn't in the best health but is always nice to visit with her. We ended the day with coming home and relaxing. Brandon made polish stew {he is such a good cook}. I started to clean out a guest room closet but found a stopping point and decided to finish later this week. We ate dinner and watched some tv.. and now I'm blogging ( :
Here are a few pictures of our Sunday...

Bitter Sweet Goodbye to 2010

Whew what a Year 2010 has been!! I think it has had some of the best days of my life. Those kind of days you tell your grandkids about and think about often. I am in awe by all the changes in my life in the past year but really how those changes have made a change in me. I was shortly out of college trying to decide what to do with myself when 2010 started off...

Hmm lets see.. in January 2010 I was bringing in the New Year very very very excited for what it had in store ( :   Heres a little story of my 2010..

                             January
We had quite the blizzard here in Oklahoma. But one thing you might not know about this summer loving girl  is that I love the snow too! We went sledding until I couldnt move. Brandon and I also adopted our first 4 legged fury friend, Cassius. Hes a boxer mix and always full of energy. He was so sweet and small and cuddly in January 2010 but a whole different story in 2011... still sweet but not so small and cuddly. It was also my Moms birthday, January 15th! Oh and let the serious wedding planning begin!

                                                                 February
Brandon and I always take turns cooking for each other on Valentines Day, we don't have to fight the crowds. 2010 was the first year we were able to eat our dinner in our home together. Even though I didn't live there yet, it still felt like home and I'm pretty sure we cooked a fabulous meal. My good friend Stephanie also got married, it was a beautiful wedding in an amazing Cathedral. More and more wedding planning ( :

March
Spring Break!!! Brandon and I went to San Antonio (actually for a work trip but still we had a great time together). My parents and some of my sisters went to Destin, Florida and stayed in our family condo. We watched their dog Izzy for a week. Cash loved it! We also put wood floors all through our home. Well worth every dollar and every minute!! Wedding invites, favors, programs, and goodies start coming together.

April
Brandon and I really started getting our house and landscaping into gear for all the wedding company. We also realized how we need a new drainage system for our backyard.. can you say Flood?! Wedding planning was in full foce. Invitations went out, fitting for my dress and girls dresses happened,  searched for shoes, finals for florist, photography, and music!! So exciting!! oh and had a cook out at my sisters house.

2011
Well that was my year end review. It was a very long post but such a short version of one of the best years yet! I am looking foward to 2011 and what is has in store. But 2010 will never be forgotten for so many reasons. As always, I have a ton of news years resolutions.. the typical ones like work out, lose a million pounds, get heathly... blah blah blah. But this year, I want to do much more. Become more active in my Church, pray so much more.Decide my career. Save way more money then usual. Talk more to my family who doesn't live close.
Take more risks.
Don't be scared .... try everything and try my best at it.

Let this year be the Best yet!
