Funny accident..

Okay okay first off, I want everyone to know I was NOT going to blog about this next subject. However, my husband and family get such a kick out of this they practically begged me to blog about it. What my husband said was, "Babe, you will look back on that and laugh so hard. It's funny and you have to blog about it, its part of your life which is what your blog is all about". I got to thinking and yes this will be pretty funny one day and I know all of you will get a smile out of it so enjoy ( :

There it is...my poor little pinkie finger. I was on the treadmill (at home thankfully..not at a gym) and was just running away in my own little world. I received a text and picked up my phone without even trying to slow down and BOOM there I go falling down my treadmill. It shoots me off the back at full speed. Brandon came running in there, sees me laying on the floor in a ball, he turns off the treadmill and asks if I were okay. Since I was okay for the most part and actually laughing at myself he starts cracking up. I wanted to cry so bad but it was just so funny I couldn't help but laugh. I ended up fracturing my little pinkie and gettting a wicked burn on my hand. I sat with my hand under water for a good 2 hours. These pictures are probably some of the best it has looked. It was three times its size and blue and black all the way down my hand. It was not pretty! I have kept it in a splint weeks now and since its starting to feel and look better, I let it out last night and just put medical tape around it! My pinkie was Free!!! ( :
All in all it was a pretty funny experience, a painful experience but funny.
I hope you got a good laugh out of it.
Lesson of the day:
Do not text while on the treadmill going 6.5 speed. Eeekkk!

Oh my goodness! I just finished cleaning the coffee off my keyboard that got spewed there from my nose after reading your blog! Sorry Lace - it's kinda like the go-cart thing...I just can't help but laugh! You're hilarious! You write just like you would talk about it! I'm still laughing! I'm glad you're okay :)

Imagine what it sounded like from my end. Here i am just watching tv in the living room. Lacey is running on the treadmill, and then I hear boom, thud, whack, thud. I just sat there thinking, there is no way that is what I think it is. And I peak down the hall, and she is upside down and the end of the treadmill. I wanted to bust out laughing so hard, but I was really scared she was very hurt. Needless to say, that was the funniest thing that has happened since she has moved in. But I am very glad she wasn't hurt worse, I love you Wooobie!!

Oh no!!! That same thing happened to my husband but it was a little worse. He was at All American early in the morning with all the old folks. The grannies were all walking at a snails pace on the treadmill and he was running away at 8.5. He got a text from me, checked his phone and forgot about running all together. He fell down and I guess your natural instinct is to hold on, is what he said. So he's holding onto the sides of the treadmill and burning the crap out of his knees because it was still going on 9.5! Needless to say, he got a HORRIBLE staph infection on his knees because we all know how clean they keep that place and equipment. He told me about it when he got home and I couldn't help but bust out laughing. He looked pitiful and his knees were disgusting! Just know that you're not the only one who this has happened to. We still laugh about it to this day :-)
